Echoes of Us
Echoes of Us engages community groups across London to co-create headphone theatre pieces inspired by local public spaces.
Through a series of workshops we explore the possibilities of aural theatre and devise the stories we want to share.
This work will then be recorded using Binaural technology and made accessible to the public via QR codes placed permanently in the public sites we’ve responded to. This will allow passersby to hear Echoes of Us through their phones at anytime.
Echoes of Us aims to platform community voices and preserve local auditory heritage
Echoes of Us: Wandsworth
The first edition of Echoes of Us will be developed on the Winstanley Estate and will premiere at the Wandsworth Arts Fringe as part of the Wandsworth Borough of Culture 2025 celebrations.
This project will be created in partnership with Katherine Low Settlement, supported by a WAF Grant and funding from Arts Council England.
Along with the Wandsworth Arts Fringe, it will be featured in the Wandsworth Heritage Festival and the London Festival of Architecture, positioning the work within both cultural heritage and urban creative contexts.
